2. Categories of Information We Collect
To manage enrollments, track academic progress, and deliver our coaching and NIOS schooling programs, we collect:
Student Profiles
Full name, date of birth, previous school board (CBSE, ICSE, State, NIOS), enrollment grade, roll number, and admission credentials.
Parent & Guardian Contacts
Primary contact name, mobile telephone numbers (for attendance SMS/WhatsApp alerts), email addresses, and residential area in Bangalore.
Academic & Attendance Logs
Session roll-call records (present/absent), monthly assessment grades, subject syllabus chapter completions, homework submissions, and faculty evaluations.
Billing & Invoices
Term fee receipts, installment dates, and transaction references processed securely via RBI-authorized payment gateways.
3. How Your Information Is Used
- Classroom & Curriculum Management: Assigning students to targeted cohorts (NIOS Morning Batches, CBSE/ICSE Evening Batches) and tracking portion completion by chapter.
- Parent Progress Reporting: Generating real-time student attendance percentages and monthly assessment performance scorecards.
- Emergency Communication: Direct phone and messaging contact in cases of student illness, unscheduled campus closures, or safety advisories.
- Fee Accounting: Managing automated fee schedules, generating digital receipts, and sending due date reminders.
Proventus Academy maintains a strict zero-compromise policy: we never sell, rent, or lease any student or guardian data to advertisers, aggregators, or marketing agencies. Student contact information is strictly utilized for academic and institutional coordination.
4. Payment Security & Financial Data
Tuition fees and registration payments are processed securely through certified payment gateways such as Razorpay. Proventus Academy does not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or Net Banking credentials on our local servers. All payment flows adhere to PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance and RBI mandated tokenization protocols.
5. Data Security & Storage
Student academic databases are secured with encrypted JWT tokens, strict role-based access controls (allowing faculty to only view their assigned cohorts and parents to only view their own ward), and transport-layer TLS encryption. Cloud hosting is managed via hardened enterprise networks with regular automated backups.
6. Parental Rights under DPDPA 2023
As a parent or legal guardian, you have the statutory right under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act to:
- Request a summary of personal and academic data held by the Institute regarding your child.
- Request correction of inaccurate contact numbers, home addresses, or academic records.
- Request deletion or archival of student records upon formal graduation or transfer (subject to regulatory education audit retention requirements).
